The idea for Ginger's Bunkhouse spicy ginger ale originated from a small neighborhood bar in Athens, Georgia—the Manhattan Cafe. The bar's signature cocktail, Spicy Ginger Ale and Bourbon, has brought many a smile to locals and visitors for many years. At one point in the past, the ginger ale that we used ran into production issues, so, we decided to create out own Ginger ale to continue the much appreciated cocktail.
In our home kitchen, we gathered a variety of different types of ginger, sugar, and other flavors, and began formulating our own homegrown soda. Our ginger ale developed into a flavor that we decided should be our own unique in-house ginger ale. Hence, the birth of Ginger's Bunkhouse Spicy ginger ale. We think it is the perfect ginger ale to mix with your favorite cocktail of choice, or enjoy its unique heat with some ice to sooth what ails you!!
Cheers!
